The Miami Seniors’ Center is committed to providing a safe, welcoming, and respectful environment for all members, guests, and staff. This Code of Conduct outlines the expected behaviors to ensure an enjoyable and positive experience for everyone.
Treat all members, staff, and visitors with kindness, courtesy, and respect.
Refrain from using offensive, discriminatory, or abusive language.
Respect the personal space and property of others.
Disruptive behavior, including loud arguments, threats, or intimidation, is prohibited.
Follow all safety guidelines and staff instructions.
Physical violence, aggressive behavior, or verbal abuse will result in immediate action, including potential suspension from the center.
Report any unsafe conditions, accidents, or concerns to staff immediately.
Use the center’s facilities, equipment, and resources properly and responsibly.
Keep shared spaces clean and orderly.
Refrain from damaging or removing any property that belongs to the center or others.
Personal belongings should not be left unattended; The center is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
Maintain good personal hygiene and cleanliness.
Always wear appropriate clothes and shoes.
If feeling ill or contagious, refrain from attending the center until fully recovered.
Dispose of waste appropriately and respect communal spaces.
Register for activities as required and arrive on time.
Follow instructions from staff and volunteers during activities and events.
Be considerate of others by limiting distractions (e.g., loud phone calls, unnecessary interruptions).
Engage in activities in a cooperative and positive manner.
Be inclusive and considerate of others’ abilities and perspectives.
Alcohol, illegal drugs, and smoking (including vaping) are not permitted on the premises.
Weapons, including firearms or dangerous objects, are not allowed.
Harassment, bullying, or disruptive conduct will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others; do not take photos or share personal information without consent.
Do not engage in gossip or spread rumors about other members or staff.
Staff members have the authority to address violations of the Code of Conduct.
Repeated or serious violations may result in suspension or revocation of privileges.
Any illegal activity will be reported to the appropriate authorities.
By participating in the Senior Center activities, members agree to abide by this Code of Conduct
